About the project

WearSec is a project to develop resources for automated security evaluation of wireless wearable devices. The intent is to perform automated verification of wearable devices through model fingerprinting to detect known vulnerabilities and improve the ability to identify new vulnerabilities through fuzzing. This requires development of a suite of hardware and software tools and supporting auditing methodology. A separate goal is to develop a dataset of RF recordings that would facilitate the application of machine learning methods for these challenges. The development is performed in cooperation by Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science, University of Latvia and Institute of Electronics and Computer Science. This research is funded by the Latvian Council of Science, project "Automated wireless security analysis for wearable devices" (project No. LZP-2020/1-0395).
